Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Our Commitment

Vixal respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to clear, valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.

We may remove allegedly infringing content, terminate access for repeat infringers, and take additional action in our discretion.

2. Designated Agent

Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to our designated agent:

DMCA Agent, Vixal

Email: hello@vixal.app

Please put "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. Email is the fastest method and the one we monitor.

3. Filing a Takedown Notice

To submit a notice of claimed infringement, provide a written communication that includes substantially the following:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works).

• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it on Vixal (such as a URL or generation ID).

• Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.

• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice including:

• Your physical or electronic signature.

• Identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.

• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

• Your full legal name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or, if outside the U.S., a district where Vixal may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a lawsuit seeking a court order.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also disable access to material that infringes rights other than copyright (e.g. trademark, publicity, or trade secret) under our Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Misuse

Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please consult a lawyer if you are unsure whether a use is infringing.

7. Other Jurisdictions

For takedown requests under the EU Copyright Directive, the UK Copyright Designs and Patents Act, or similar laws elsewhere, please email hello@vixal.app with equivalent information adapted to the applicable law.
